In this role, the Field Technician will carry out regular services, diagnosis and adjustments of client’s assets to achieve optimum performance of the biogas upgrading process, high pressure reciprocating and screw compressors and auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance and service tasks on biogas/Natural equipment.
  • Assist the Service Area Manager (SAM) in establishing parts and labour estimates required for equipment and system repairs.
  • Maintain, establish and identify service vehicle tooling/parts/etc. requirements.
  • Complete detailed Field Service Reports before leaving a client site and submit expenses weekly to the SAM or his alternate.
  • Proactively review assigned materials necessary for maintenance actions, informing the SAM/purchasing if further materials are required.
  • Install, configure, and calibrate equipment, providing staff training on safe usage.
  • Troubleshoot process issues both onsite and remotely as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Test, maintain, and modify existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute scheduled and reactive maintenance according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Log data, monitor trends, and implement solutions both onsite and remotely.
  • Comply with the company's Health & Safety Policy and Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate, manage, and supervise subcontractors on site to meet service requirements.
  • Be available for regular travel within the UK, Europe, and occasionally internationally.
  • Commit to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training and meet compliance requirements for the industry.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled bias 75/25 mechanical/electrical preferred.
  • A good understanding and ability to work with PLCs, electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • Flexibility with working hours, as being part of an On-Call Rota and call out service is expected (On-call & Overtime Paid).
  • Own relevant experience with industry, CHP Gas Engines, Biogas, Anaerobic Digestion, Marine Engineering (pumps, motors), and Power Generation.
  • Driving license to allow traveling around the UK/EU and international travel.
  • Carrying out a mixture of scheduled service and reactive work.
  • COMPEX (Mechanical or Electrical), IPAF, Gas Safe.
