With continued growth across our sector and exciting new projects coming online, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team in Winfrith. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the commissioning, maintenance, and reliability of critical assets supporting the future of nuclear waste treatment technologies. Working closely with Project Engineers and Operations teams, you'll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities across site systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using CMMS systems such as MaintMaster
- Respond to breakdowns, fault-find, diagnose issues, and restore equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct repairs, replacements, and adjustments on plant and material-handling equipment
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment
- Complete maintenance records and CMMS updates accurately
- Ensure compliance with permits, RAMS, SSOW, and site safety procedures
- Conduct inspections, condition monitoring, and support root cause analysis
- Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and project teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime

Essential Skills & Experience
- Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Proven maintenance experience within industrial or process environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience using CMMS systems (MaintMaster, SAP, Maximo or similar)
- Understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work
- Good working knowledge of plant and material-handling equipment
- Full clean driving licence
