Assistant Front Office Manager
Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel is looking for an experienced, confident, and guest-focused Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a team, and delivering a high standard of service in a busy hotel environment.
As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in the day-to-day running of the department and help ensure that every guest receives a warm, professional, and efficient experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Front Office Manager in the daily operation of the Front Office department
- Oversee smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures
- Supervise the Front Office team and lead by example on shift
- Ensure high standards of guest service are delivered at all times
- Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Assist with room allocations, guest profiles, billing, and reservations
- Ensure all Front Office procedures are followed correctly and consistently
- Use Opera Cloud to manage guest records, reservations, room status, and billing accurately
- Support the training and development of Front Office team members
- Assist with rota planning and daily team organisation
- Monitor team performance and provide day-to-day guidance where needed
- Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey
- Act as the main point of support in the absence of the Front Office Manager
- Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards
- What We Are Looking For
- Previous Front Office experience within a hotel environment
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and guest service standards
- Good working knowledge of Opera Cloud is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- A hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A professional appearance and guest-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
