Elecnor Group is looking for an HSE Technician to join our international team and head up large-scale energy infrastructure projects. This specific opportunity is based in Northern Ireland, working on a synchronous condenser project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Safety Protocol Development: Create and update safety procedures and protocols to be implemented on-site.
- Training: Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to workers, ensuring everyone is aware of risks and preventive measures.
- Supervision: Monitor daily on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Incident Investigation: Investigate the root causes of any accidents or incidents and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Documentation: Maintain and manage all required safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Advisory: Provide expert guidance and advice on health and safety matters to management and site teams.
Requirements:
- Education & Qualifications: Vocational Training (FP) in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), a Master’s Degree in OHS, or an Engineering degree.
- Experience: 1 year of experience working on construction sites (experience in electrical/power projects is highly valued).
- Languages: Minimum B2 level of English.
- Mobility & Jurisdiction: Availability to work on-site and prior experience managing projects within the UK.
