Gap Technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Warehouse/Stores Operative to work at their facility near Welwyn Garden City.
Performance Objectives
- Order Picking and Packing: Efficiently processing and dispatching outgoing orders.
- Dispatching Orders: Ensuring all documentation is completed correctly while adhering to company procedures. Basic understanding of Certificates of Conformity and Import/Export compliance is required.
- Receiving and Booking Raw Materials: Utilizing heat and batch numbers, including free issue materials, and storing raw materials appropriately within the warehouse.
- Additional duties include:
- Booking finished goods into stock following customer guidelines.
- Preparing and shipping parts to subcontractors through the PO system and receiving them back into production.
- Arranging collections directly with customers.
- Supporting the RMA process—Customer returns.
- Moving products to various departments and locations.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and maintenance practices.
- Undertaking other tasks, including work in other sections, as directed by your line manager within your capability and training.
Person Specification
- Minimum of A-C GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Competent in handling high-value products.
- General warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
