Performance Objectives
- To provide concise, relevant technical information to all departments, aiding the quotation, sale, planning and manufacture of our products. All products must be \’designed for manufacture\’ with safety, ease of manufacture, assembly or component innovation, ease of installation and functionality in use, all major considerations.
- Compile Bills of Materials (BOMs), for new products to verify sales quotations, and provide timely information to Sales, Purchasing, Planning and Production.
- Verify BOMs created by other team members to maintain consistency and accuracy, with product safety as a priority.
- Generate product drawings for the Sales team and our clients, ensuring they are visually appealing and accurate.
- Develop schematics for clients to understand how our products integrate into more complex projects.
- Prepare, or update, product drawings, and specifications to facilitate smooth production processes, in response to new product creation or changes in components or manufacturing techniques.
- Collaborate within the team and with others to address procurement, design, quality, or manufacturing challenges.
- Evaluate the quality and accuracy of work submitted by the Production team during the \’first off procedure\’, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and specifications.
- Processing and recording Engineering Change Notes, ensuring a coherent flow of information to all relevant areas and provide a full audit trail.
- Create and maintain a library of assets, including blocks, templates, dynamic blocks, and scripts, to support the technical team\’s work and improve efficiency.
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to model new components in 3D and 2D using AutoCAD, making them accessible to both the Design and Technical teams.

Essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- CAD proficient (3D or 2D)
- Good level of proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
