What the job looks like Each day you will enjoy a variety of challenges such as:
- Field-based scientific engagement across UK and Ireland in order to achieve patient driven company’s goals.
- Proactive engagement with cross functional teams within Grunenthal.
- Identify key medical science information/ insights, market opportunities and threats in the area of pain management, inspired by contacts/needs assessments with health care professionals and by other external stakeholders, and provide relevant feedback to the field teams and management team to help appropriate strategic decision making.
- Implement medical projects and activities in line with the cluster/Global strategy including, medical education programs, Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) data generation, in compliance within the overall company quality principles, values, and applicable policies of GRT.
- Act as a point of contact for unsolicited information requests on company products.
- Attend relevant scientific meetings and congresses.
- Maintain knowledge in therapy area and literature relevant to focus product. Generate presentations/appropriate content that enable scientific exchange.
- Conduct internal trainings on medically relevant topics.
- Report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and product quality issues to GRT regulatory staff according to local laws.
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with Key External Experts, HCPs, Scientific Societies, Patient Associations and other entities, and facilitate appropriate medical and scientific information exchange.
What you'll bring to the table To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- Ethical mindset.
- Understanding of commercial and healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of health policy, particularly for the hospital environment.
- Experience in project management.
- Computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Comprehensive understanding of pain and pain management.
- Capability to search for the appropriate source of information on who is impactful on key business domains (formularies, influencing other physicians/students/payers, prescription level, …).
- Building trust and confidence with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent language skills written and spoken.
- MD or Bachelor degree in Health Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 2-3 years experience in presenting data in hospital or other function.
- Experience in Medical Affairs and/or Medical Information areas is a plus.
- 1+ years experience in field-based pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Ideally resides in or around Midlands for ease of travel as travel expectations are across all of UK and Ireland.
