At Grundon, we are looking for a results-driven Account Manager to take charge of a portfolio of key clients using our industry-leading waste management solutions. You will play a vital role in driving growth, enhancing profitability, and delivering real environmental impact.

What you’ll be doing as an Account Manager
• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial accounts across multiple industries, overseeing their operational and financial performance in line with client specifications, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Develop, implement, and continuously review tailored waste and recycling strategies aligned with client environmental and sustainability targets.
• Lead stakeholder engagement campaigns that promote Grundon’s services and support client sustainability goals.
• Attend monthly KPI and performance review meetings; maintain strong, regular contact with key client stakeholders.
• Provide accurate management information on time; analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational or contractual issues before escalation.
• Organise presentations, seminars, engagement days, facility tours, and waste composition audits to enhance client engagement and awareness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Innovation and Social Value Coordinators, to introduce new technologies, circular economy initiatives, and social value support.
• Conduct regular account reviews focusing on pricing, service value, profitability, and growth opportunities; ensure accurate billing and timely invoice payments.
• Coordinate with operational teams, subcontractors, and bid teams to support service delivery, contract renewals, and compliance with company policies and waste regulations.
What you’ll need:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in account management within the waste management/ sustainability sector
• Solutions-driven, proactive problem-solver focused on adding value and delivering measurable, KPI-driven results
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Confident presenter skilled in client engagement and report writing, with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with solid database skills
• Full UK driving licence – some travel may be required
