Heathrow Airport is like a small city, and cities create waste! More than 50 businesses there rely on Grundon bins - and that’s where you come in. As Recycling Officer, you’ll make sure that retail staff, cleaning crews, facilities managers and the public know what goes where when it comes to waste and recycling.

You may or may not have a degree in something green... What you do have, though, is a keen interest in recycling and sustainability and an ability to engage with people. So, if you want to help shape the future of waste management at one of the busiest airports in the world, this hands-on job might just tick all your (recyclable) boxes.

About the Recycling Officer role:

You’ll be based at Colnbrook, close to the airport, but work on our Heathrow Airport contract, which means you’ll spend most of your time there. Every day is different but often starts with a walk through the terminal. Are all bins correctly labelled? Are there missed opportunities for recycling? Maybe there’s a catering unit throwing food in the general waste, or a new shop unit that’s not been briefed on proper disposal of its cardboard. It’s part detective work, part problem-solving — and it keeps things interesting.
