Join Our Team as an Area Sales Manager!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Grundfos Pumps is seeking a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to become a key player in our Water Utilities team. In this exciting role, you\’ll be at the forefront of managing our valued Anglian Water and Affinity Water end user customers, as well as collaborating with Consultants, Tier 1 and 2 contractors, wholesalers and Approved Service Partners.
The successful candidate will also service our wholesalers and Approved Service Partners in the Channell Islands, Malta and Gibraltar. This may require some travel a few times each year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Secure profitable business for Grundfos, aiming to exceed sales targets within budget.
- Team Collaboration: Play a key role in the Water Utility sales team, providing commercial and technical support to drive market growth in the UK.
- Client Negotiation: Negotiate orders directly with clients and through Tier 1 and 2 contractors and other partners.
- Product Identification: Identify pumps and equipment for replacement.
- Stock Management: Liaise with the Grundfos Distribution Centre to manage stock in line with strategy and client needs.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to identify problems and create value-added solutions and business opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manage all local CRM activities, including full maintenance of the SAP CRM package.
- Market Understanding: Understand the water utility markets and work with engineers and customers to maximize sales efforts.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales and KPIs to ensure commercial targets are met, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Product Knowledge: Deliver product knowledge, application, and troubleshooting skills to customers.
- Framework Maintenance: Maintain framework mechanisms used across the water utility business.
- Competitor Monitoring: Continuously monitor competitors and update on their product releases and upgrades.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain strong customer relationships, including out-of-hours work, entertaining, and travel within and outside the geographical area.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven technical sales experience in the Water Utilities Industry, with pump knowledge or similar.
- Familiarity with Microsoft packages; SAP experience is advantageous.
