As our new
Associate Sales Engineer, Water Utility UK , you will be managing and growing key Water Utility accounts across the UK, from technical pump selection and accurate costing through to securing project awards and ensuring seamless order handover. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging. Ideally looking for candidates based around the South and Southwest of the UK (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire) What you will be doing As a key part of the Water Utility Sales team, you'll create impact by Driving sustainable water infrastructure by ensuring utility customers receive precisely engineered pumping solutions that meet their operational and regulatory requirements.. Your main responsibilities include: Maintain and develop the existing Water Utility customer base, following up on unit and project sales from quotation through to award stage Perform pump set selection calculations to ensure technically appropriate solutions for each client application Ensure accurate costing aligned with company pricing strategy and achieve agreed sales volume and contribution targets Register and nurture all customer activities and opportunities in the global CRM tool, keeping customer master data up to date Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, Business Development, and Customer Service teams on account management and order processing Ensure full and proper documentation handover to Customer Service and Engineering during order processing
Required profile
What makes you a great fit Above all, you are a technically minded sales professional with Water Utility sector knowledge, strong attention to detail in pump selection and costing, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. We would also imagine that you have: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in the Water Utility sector Knowledge of Water Utility processes, systems, and applicable UK regulations Ability to perform pump set selection calculations and ensure accurate costing based on pricing strategy Experience in a technical sales or account management role within an industrial or utilities environment It is a plus if you also have: Master's Degree in a relevant discipline Experience using CRM tools for pipeline and opportunity management Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to business development within the Water Utility sector
