Are you a pragmatic SaaS engineer who thrives on building data pipelines that turn raw data into insights that prevent real-world infrastructure failures? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As a key part of the Analytics Platform Engineering team, you'll create impact by building the intelligent analytics framework that empowers utilities worldwide to prevent infrastructure failures before they happen, protecting communities and the environment. Your main responsibilities include:
- Architect and develop framework components and calculation pipelines for our cloud-based analytics product (MAP platform)
- Implement data import, cleansing, and processing workflows that transform third-party and internal data into meaningful insights
- Resolve production bugs and work through the engineering backlog to improve platform reliability and performance
- Collaborate closely with your small scrum team to deliver iterative releases, incorporate customer feedback, and continuously improve the product
- Build and maintain predictive analytics features such as overflow alerts for sewage pumps and pipes
- Contribute architectural decisions that ensure the platform scales reliably in a real cloud environment
Above all, you are a hands-on, pragmatic cloud software engineer with real-world experience shipping and maintaining production systems — someone who has been through release cycles, handled upgrades, responded to customer feedback, and knows what it takes to get the job done. We would also imagine that you have:
- 5+ years of experience in software product development with cloud-based systems (design, build, deploy, and maintain)
- Strong skills in building data processing pipelines — including data import, transformation, cleansing, and calculation workflows
- Demonstrated experience with architectural design of scalable framework components in a production environment
- Proven ability to work autonomously in small agile/scrum teams and deliver iterative releases
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience with analytics or IoT platforms, particularly in utilities, water management, or industrial domains
- Familiarity with dashboard development and alert/notification systems
- Background working with third-party data integrations and building extensible framework products
We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
- A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
- Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
- Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
An inclusive team: We believe that the key to a work environment, where employees thrive and grow, is our ability to celebrate and value our differences in background, experiences and perspectives.
