You will be developing and delivering electrical designs for pump systems and related products, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to bring concepts from schematic through to production‑ready designs. What you will be doing
- As a key part of the Electrical Engineering team, you'll create impact by designing reliable, efficient electrical systems that support Grundfos's mission to pioneer solutions to the world’s water and climate challenges.
- Your main responsibilities include:
- Design and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for pump systems and control units.
- Perform electrical calculations, component selection, and design verification to ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, UL, CE).
- Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical designs into complete product solutions.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including BOMs, design specifications, and test procedures.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting to validate electrical designs.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing electrical designs to enhance reliability, cost‑efficiency, and manufacturability.
What makes you a great fit
- Detail‑oriented electrical engineer with strong design fundamentals, hands‑on problem‑solving ability, and a collaborative mindset for working in multidisciplinary product development teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design in controls panels, controls or automation.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools such as EPLAN or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards.
It is a plus if you also
- Experience with motor drive systems or variable frequency drives.
- Knowledge of electrical installation requirements BS7671.
- Familiarity with simulation tools for circuit analysis.
- Experience with SAP.
