We require a full‑time Tax Manager with a minimum of 7 years’ practice experience. You will report directly at partner level and should be CTA qualified although QBE would be considered. You should be able to deal with technical advisory work, tax technical queries from other departments, and have experience in reviewing complex tax returns.

This position offers agile working, allowing you to work remotely and flex your hours. You will receive support throughout your career progression with a dedicated partner mentor to guide you, monthly 1‑2‑1’s, and training to keep you up to date with your knowledge and skills.

Professional Experience
- Managing a portfolio of clients (including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts).
- Strong technical and commercial grounding in tax with the ability to apply this to identify and provide practical solutions to tax and commercial issues faced by clients.
Knowledge and experience of:
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting research and development (R&D) reports to HMRC.
- Inheritance tax and lifetime planning, including advising on reliefs such as BPR.
- Shares schemes such as EMI and CSOP and their implementation.
- Treatment of expenditure for corporation tax purposes.
- Capital allowances and use of allowances such as the Annual Investment Allowance.
- VAT implications of transactions.
- Stamp Duty Land Tax and ATED, as well as the reliefs available from these taxes.
- Income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning for non‑UK domiciled individuals.
- Income tax reliefs such as loss relief and pension relief.
- Capital gains tax reliefs such as business asset disposal relief, principal private residence relief, rollover relief, and gift relief.
- Venture capital schemes such as Enterprise Investment Scheme and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme, as well as obtaining advanced assurance.
- Preparation of tax clearances in relation to corporate restructuring and other relevant transactions.
