We are looking for an enthusiastic NPD Process Technologist to join our UK NPD team at our Coventry site. This hands-on role will support the development of new products from concept through to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams including Technical, Operations, Packaging, Purchasing and Engineering.

The successful candidate will help deliver factory trials, create and manage product documentation, support customer and supplier sample submissions, and ensure products meet quality, cost, waste and food safety standards.

Job Overview
  • Support the NPD team in delivering new product development projects from concept through to launch.
  • Develop product concepts through kitchen trials, benchwork and customer sample preparation.
  • Keep up to date with food trends and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including NPD, Technical, Operations, Packaging, Purchasing, Planning and Engineering.
  • Lead and support factory trials for UK and European customer projects.
  • Ensure new products are operationally robust, cost-effective, safe, and aligned with quality and waste targets.
  • Capture and maintain accurate trial data, recipe information, costs, test results and NPD documentation.
  • Coordinate product testing, including nutritional, preservative, microbiological and organoleptic assessments.
  • Prepare and issue key product documentation, including QAS documents, trial reports, cost cards, specifications and technical handovers.
  • Support customer and supplier visits, including presenting samples and completing sample submission documentation.
  • Ensure all NPD processes comply with company procedures, food safety standards and Gruma policies.
