We are on the lookout for a brilliant vet to join the Grub Club team in a part-time or flexible Veterinary Advisor capacity - working directly with our founding team. Hybrid & Flexible - ideally, we would love for you to come into our London Bridge office but we are also open to fully remote applicants.
If you don’t know us, Grub Club is a challenger pet food brand on a mission to create functional, science-backed, and hypoallergenic food that’s kinder to dogs and the planet. We’re now looking for a vet to step into a broader role as we grow: someone who’s excited by innovation, nutrition, and pet wellness, and wants to be part of a fast-growing brand at the cutting edge of the category. You don’t need to leave clinical life behind. This is a flexible, part-time position (think 1–2 days a fortnight) that could be perfect for a vet who’s curious to apply their knowledge outside the clinic.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Working directly with our production partners and nutrition teams to formulate and test new products.
- Diving into our customer and market data to unlock growth opportunities through new product development and innovation.
- Collaborating with our customer care team to respond to customer queries and support our customer base with veterinary advice.
- Working with the CRM team to ensure veterinary and nutrition advice is integrated into our post-purchase customer experience.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of long-form educational content across our website knowledge hub, blogs, and email marketing with the help of our marketing team.
- Building out veterinary knowledge bases for new and existing products.
- Supporting the design and running of clinical trials, interacting directly with dog owners (virtually and potentially in-person too) to build scientific proof supporting our products.
- Working with our brand, content, and marketing team to create vet- and expert-led content with the goal of educating customers about Grub Club's products and providing general veterinary advice to our customer base across social media, blogs, website, and other channels.
ABOUT YOU
- You are a registered vet eligible to practise in the UK.
- You’re creative, hands-on, and ready to get stuck in and work hard.
- You’re interested in nutrition and innovation in this space.
- You’re organised enough to juggle a few workstreams.
- You’re comfortable featuring on our social media channels talking about our products.
- You’re ready to take ownership and responsibility. Working collaboratively and independently, running with things, making decisions, and getting stuff done is the order of the day.
- You’re eager to learn. Things happen really quickly at Grub Club, and we’re often all learning as we go. We operate under a lot of ambiguity and if you’re ready to embrace that, you’ll fit right in.
In return, we can offer a huge amount of personal and career growth. We’re a fast-growing business in a market with enormous opportunity (30m+ pets in the UK), so the right person can really make a difference. You’ll work with a small but fantastic team, who genuinely love their work and care about building a positive work environment, in a great London Bridge office alongside some of the UK’s most exciting consumer brand startups.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- You’re interested in nutrition and innovation in this space.
- You’re into the research - whether that’s deep diving on the benefits of certain ingredients or digging deep into the findings of a clinical trial, you’re all about the research and data.
- Bonus: You’ve got a business mindset and you’re eager to throw your weight behind broader growth initiatives while wearing your vet hat.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- A front-row seat in one of the UK’s most exciting challenger pet brands.
- A brand that stands for something (healthier dogs and planet).
- An awesome, passionate team that’s scrappy, supportive, and serious about fun.
- A flexible pay structure (hourly or day rate depending on agreed working schedule).
- An awesome environment to learn and apply your knowledge outside of the clinic.
