On behalf of our client, a global international logistics company, GRS are currently recruiting a Transport & Logistics Assistant based in Limassol on a temporary contract for approximately 6 months. The successful candidate must have previous experience in logistics, fluency in English and ideally customs processes. If you have the required experience and are available for an immediate start on a contact role, GRS looks forward to hearing from you.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with internal teams (Project, Out-Country Logistics Coordination)
- Interface with external stakeholders
- Maintain effective communication and escalation when needed
- Ensuring the smooth flow of physical flows
- Coordination of local transport (road, barge, air, offshore vessels)
- Checking shipping documentation
- Getting the right equipment to the site at the right time
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, avoiding blockages and penalties
- Customs & Compliance: conformity (customs formalities, checking commercial invoices, Packing lists, CoO, DGD etc.)
- Issuing Daily Call Off to the local agent (transit)
- Ensuring project staff mobility - Mobilization teams – Personnel logistics
- Coordination of staff travel (flights, visas, accommodation)
- Support for offshore rotations
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 5–10 years of experience in logistics
- Experience in in-country logistics coordination
- Hands-on experience with transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse operations
- Strong communication
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
- Good knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping practices
- Strong understanding of customs processes and regulatory compliance
- Fluency in English, Greek would be advantageous
- MUST be available for an immediate start
