Purpose of the Position
To support Maen Karne in its objective to become the first choice for concrete product supply in the South West, whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Maen Karne achieve our target of Zero Harm.
Role Responsibilities
- Operation of semi-automatic block plant equipment, including pre-shift safety checks.
- Safe operation of Mobile Plant.
- Production checks to ensure compliance.
- Maintain good housekeeping procedure.
- Basic Maintenance, greasing and cleaning.
- Work in a safe manner, promoting the company's ambition of Zero Harm.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
No previous experience of equipment is required as full training will be given. A background knowledge of Maen Karne, including our Core Values would be an advantage. Strong Health & Safety awareness and commitment to achieving Zero Harm. Excellent time keeping and punctuality. A willingness to learn. An ability to integrate into an existing team. An ability to assess tasks and implement safety provisions prior to commencement. Able to work within safety guidelines implemented by Maen Karne and the Industry as a whole. Full training on our equipment, mobile plant and safety provisions will be given to the right candidate, but a willingness to learn every aspect of the role, and a flexibility to working hours is essential. Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant workplace.

- Fork Lift Truck License (Desirable).
- Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
