We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and adaptable individual to work alongside our energetic team in Plymouth. The role requires a CAN-DO attitude. We are a fast-paced business with plenty of opportunities for growth so if this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS ON A 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To support Maen Karne in its objective to become the first choice for concrete product supply in the South West. Whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Maen Karne achieve our target of Zero Harm.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation of semi-automatic bagging equipment, including pre-shift safety checks.
- Safe operation of Mobile Plant.
- Production checks to ensure compliance.
- Maintain good housekeeping procedure.
- Basic Maintenance, greasing and cleaning.
- Work in a safe manner, promoting the company's ambition of Zero Harm.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- No previous experience of equipment is required as full training will be given.
- A background knowledge of Maen Karne, including our Core Values would be an advantage.
- Strong Health and Safety awareness and commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
- Flexible approach to working hours which will, on occasions, include night shifts and weekend work.
- Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant workplace.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:
- Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
- A willingness to learn.
- An ability to integrate into an existing team.
- An ability to assess tasks and implement safety provisions prior to commencement.
- Able to work within safety guidelines implemented by Maen Karne and the Industry as a whole.
- FLT License (Preferable).
