We are currently recruiting for an Export Operator to join a growing freight forwarding business in Essex, supporting the full ocean export process end-to-end. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Ocean Export experience looking to join a close-knit team with a strong culture, long-term stability, and future development opportunities. The role is initially focused on 100% Ocean Exports, with future cross-training into imports, providing exposure across road and air freight operations longer term.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Ocean Export shipments from booking through to completion
- Handling bookings and coordinating export operations
- Completing customs entries and associated documentation
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams
- Supporting end-to-end shipment management
- Working closely with transport and operational teams
- Supporting vehicle / RORO movements where required
Ideal Background
Essential:
- Ocean Export operations experience
- Bookings experience
- End-to-end export knowledge
- Customs experience / exposure
- Ability to manage shipments independently
Desirable:
- RORO experience would be highly advantageous
