We are currently recruiting for an Export Operator to join a growing freight forwarding business in Essex, supporting the full ocean export process end-to-end. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Ocean Export experience looking to join a close-knit team with a strong culture, long-term stability, and future development opportunities. The role is initially focused on 100% Ocean Exports, with future cross-training into imports, providing exposure across road and air freight operations longer term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Ocean Export shipments from booking through to completion
  • Handling bookings and coordinating export operations
  • Completing customs entries and associated documentation
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams
  • Supporting end-to-end shipment management
  • Working closely with transport and operational teams
  • Supporting vehicle / RORO movements where required

Ideal Background

Essential:

  • Ocean Export operations experience
  • Bookings experience
  • End-to-end export knowledge
  • Customs experience / exposure
  • Ability to manage shipments independently

Desirable:

  • RORO experience would be highly advantageous
