A well-established and growing SME freight forwarding business is looking to add an experienced European Road Freight Operator to its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit operation where you will play a key role in managing shipments from start to finish while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

You will be responsible for handling end-to-end European road freight shipments, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency throughout the process. This role would suit someone who enjoys working within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment and is confident managing the full operational cycle including customs requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing European road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
  • Coordinating full load and groupage movements across Europe
  • Liaising with customers, hauliers, overseas agents, and customs authorities
  • Preparing and completing all relevant shipping and customs documentation
  • Handling import and export customs clearances
  • Monitoring shipment progress and proactively resolving any issues
  • Providing customers with regular updates and maintaining strong relationships
  • Negotiating rates with suppliers and subcontractors where required
