We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Operator role on behalf of a growing freight forwarding business that is establishing a new office in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with freight forwarding operational experience who is looking to grow with a business long term and progress into a more senior commercial or account management position over time. The business is currently in an exciting growth phase, with a newly established office and ambitious plans for expansion. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team and play a key role in supporting daily operations while helping shape the future of the office as it develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting day-to-day freight forwarding operations
- Loading and managing operational jobs within the system
- Completing customs entries and related documentation
- Liaising with hauliers, suppliers, and customers
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Providing excellent customer service and operational support
- Assisting with the onboarding and mentoring of future team members and apprentices
