Ocean Import Coordinator

You'll take ownership of ocean import shipments from start to finish, acting as our customer's trusted contact and making sure every move runs smoothly and professionally.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate ocean import container movements from booking through to delivery.
• Handle both FCL and LCL import shipments.
• Organise customs clearance, haulage and other supporting services.
• Be the first point of contact for customers, responding quickly to their queries.
• Keep customers informed with clear, accurate updates at every stage.
• Work closely with internal teams, shipping lines, hauliers and other partners.
• Flag any operational issues to colleagues or management promptly.
• Keep records accurate and up to date on internal systems.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.
• Ensure shipments stay on track and within agreed timescales.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within logistics or freight forwarding is essential.
• Ocean freight forwarding or ocean import experience is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of FCL and LCL import operations.
• Familiarity with customs clearance and haulage processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
• A proactive, organised and adaptable approach.
• Comfortable managing a busy workload under pressure.
