As we continue to scale, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources department, ensuring the efficient recruitment, development, and management of our workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to build and implement new HR systems, processes, and strategies from the ground up, as we establish a strong foundation for future growth as a Startup.

Job Summary: The HR Manager will oversee all HR functions, including but not limited to; recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, legal, building departments, and workforce planning. This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with third-party recruitment agencies and HR service providers to support expedited hiring needs and secure high-level talent acquisitions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance people management with business goals to support the growth of Grozeo. The HR Manager will also play a crucial role in extended operations for various operational areas, ensuring smooth HR processes across all locations. As a startup, Grozeo needs an HR leader who is proactive in developing and managing new HR systems to support rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, manage the end-to-end hiring process, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring high employee satisfaction.
  • Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance review processes, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to drive continuous improvement.
  • HR Compliance & Policies: Ensure company policies and procedures comply with UK employment laws and regulations, updating them as necessary. Conduct regular compliance checks to maintain industry standards.
  • Workforce Planning & Development: Identify workforce needs, create training and development programs, and support career progression within the company.
  • HR Strategy & Leadership: Work closely with senior management to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee reward programs to maintain a competitive and motivating compensation structure.
  • Conflict Resolution & Disciplinary Actions: Mediate workplace conflicts, handle grievances, and manage disciplinary processes as required.
  • Culture & Employee Well-being: Promote company culture, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, and develop well-being programs to enhance employee experience.
  • Extended Operations for Areas: Oversee HR operations in multiple areas, ensuring consistent HR support and processes across different regions.
  • Data Management & Analysis: Ensure accurate HR data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop & Implement New HR Systems: Build and manage new HR processes and structures to support the company’s evolving needs.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration & Investor-Readiness: Collaborate closely with Revenue, Technology, Administration, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations departments to align HR goals with business targets and ensure smooth communication channels.
  • Visa Sponsorship & Audit Readiness: Manage Grozeo’s UK responsibilities as a registered visa sponsor (subject to approval). Ensure systems, documentation, and processes are fully compliant with Home Office regulations.
  • Recruitment Partnerships, Systems Development & Audit Readiness: Identify, build, and manage strong relationships with third-party recruitment agencies, freelance recruiters, and external consultants to support fast and efficient talent acquisition pipelines.
  • Partner, Associate, and Franchise HR Support: Provide HR support, guidance, and policy frameworks for Associates, Area Managers, and franchise business partners across operational regions.
  • Culture, Diversity, and Employee Well-being: Foster an inclusive and diverse company culture that reflects Grozeo’s values and mission.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company, with a proven ability to build HR systems from scratch to support rapid scaling.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and HR policy development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in HR software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and payroll systems.
