About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to deliver an excellent experience to a portfolio of clients (4-8, depending on size and complexity), owning the end-to-end process from day-to-day financial operations, through to month-end close, management reporting & control, cash flow, and budgeting & forecasting. This is a varied, high-impact, client-facing role for someone excited to help challenger brands scale faster and smarter.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and manage the full month-end close for multiple clients, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Produce monthly management accounts packs tailored to each client’s needs, including commentary and KPI dashboards
- Maintain balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
- Prepare and post journals for accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and stock
- Establish and enhance internal controls and compliance
Finance Operations
- Process and post day-to-day client transactions across AR and AP
- Reconciling multi-currency bank, clearing account and payment gateways
- Preparing VAT returns
Client Advisory & Business Partnering
- Primary contact for your client portfolio, covering day-to-day queries and supporting with recommendations and insights
- Provide weekly sales reporting, cash flow forecasts, and ad hoc analysis
- Manage clients ‘accounts’ email inboxes
- Collaborate with external accountants, bookkeepers, or in-house staff to align reporting
- Assist with investor reporting, board packs, and due diligence as required
FP&A & Commercial Finance
- Support the CFO with budgeting, reforecasting, and scenario planning
- Develop and iterate forecasting models to inform strategic decisions
- Analyse and provide insights on sales channels, customers and SKUs performance
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to automate and streamline workflows
- Support system integration and automation between Xero, inventory tools, banks, and reporting software
What we’re looking for
- Finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
- Minimum of 3 years’ finance and accounting experience in industry or practice
- Strong experience in both bookkeeping and management accounts preparation
- Demonstrable experience working with inventory costings and valuations
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple stakeholders and client needs
- Hands-on and comfortable working in both strategic and operational finance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective client communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with the wider team
