Here at Growth Technology Ltd we are a well-established and respected plant nutrient manufacturer supplying the commercial horticulture and garden centre markets, with a reputation for excellence in all we do. We are a family run business and have been operating since 1985. We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Manager to join us at Growth Technology.
As part of this role, you will lead, support and develop the Despatch Team ensuring appropriate training is provided and team performance is maintained to a high standard. This is a permanent role, which is full-time, working on site Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Oversee all despatch operations, including picking, packing and shipping of orders
- Plan and schedule daily workloads and assist with picking and packing as needed to meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with other departments to support smooth operational flow
- Promote a positive working environment with a strong sense of purpose
- Coordinate the loading of vehicles and liaise with couriers to ensure timely deliveries
- Participate actively in the Health and Safety Team and support the implementation of Health and Safety policies
- Previous experience of managing a team within a busy warehouse
- Effective communicator and motivator, approachable and diligent
- Hold a forklift and aislemaster licence
- A self-motivated and highly organised individual
- The ability to work under pressure and problem solve
- Enhanced annual leave of 24 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays
- Increased employer pension contributions
