The Opportunity
An established and growing risk and assurance consultancy is looking to appoint a Cyber Assessor Consultant to support a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. This is a client facing role offering exposure to complex supplier ecosystems and the chance to play a key role in strengthening third party cyber risk management. You will work closely with clients and suppliers, delivering high quality cyber focused assurance assessments while contributing to the continued development of internal methodologies and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cyber focused third party risk assessments efficiently and to a high standard
- Manage and build strong working relationships with clients and suppliers
- Conduct supplier assessments within agreed timelines
- Engage suppliers to support smooth and effective assessment processes
- Evaluate control design and operation, identifying risks, issues, and remediation actions
- Produce clear, professional reports aligned to defined assessment methodologies
- Contribute to management information for client and leadership reporting
- Support supplier assurance programmes and related projects
- Act as a trusted ambassador, representing the organisation with professionalism
Team Contribution
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members
- Support internal improvement initiatives
- Contribute to wider organisational activities, including recruitment where required
Skills and Experience
- Minimum three years experience in supplier assurance or third party risk
- Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or PCI DSS
- Proven experience delivering cyber risk assessments at scale
- Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies and lifecycle
- Background in a client service or consultancy environment
- Strong stakeholder management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and commercially minded approach
Desirable
- Exposure to cyber security tools and assurance platforms
