About the Project
GROWTH STORIES in PROGRESS is a content-led initiative spotlighting the journeys of founders, small businesses, and entrepreneurial leaders who’ve driven meaningful change in their industries. We\’re capturing these powerful narratives to inspire, educate, and influence a broader business audience – from startups to enterprise sponsors.
We\’re now looking for a skilled PR specialist and consultant to bring these stories to life and ensure they reach the right audiences.
What You\’ll Do
- Develop and execute PR strategies that amplify our podcast show across earned media, business press, and niche industry outlets.
- Craft compelling press releases, story pitches, and media kits.
- Build and manage media lists tailored to our target industries.
- Identify and secure media opportunities for featured businesses.
- Advise on content angles that align with media trends and editorial calendars.
- Track media coverage and measure impact of outreach efforts.
Who You Are
- A seasoned freelance PR specialist with 5+ years of experience.
- Proven track record in B2B, entrepreneurship, and/or SME or startup-focused media.
- Strong media contacts across UK press (business, tech, lifestyle, regional).
- Strategic thinker with creative storytelling ability.
- Comfortable advising on both content direction and media placement, working with our producer.
- Bonus: experience working with nonprofits, accelerators, or business support organisations.
