The Role
This is an IC role. We are seeking a hands-on, highly technical, and execution-focused Finance Manager with strong accounting expertise and robust FP&A capabilities. This role requires an experienced finance professional comfortable owning end-to-end financial operations, reporting, controls, and compliance across a global, remote-first AI organisation. You will manage all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance (UAE-specific included), FP&A cycles, financial systems, and payment operations. The ideal candidate has strong IFRS knowledge, thrives in high-growth digital/SaaS environments, and maintains exceptional attention to detail while operating with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Day-to-day accounting and month-end close to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Prepare financial statements under IFRS and UAE requirements.
- Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies.
- Prepare management accounts, variance analyses, and internal reporting packs.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse KPIs, revenue trends, and SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV).
- Financial Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations including VAT, ESR, AML, and governance rules.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Operations & Payments
- Oversee high-volume payments, vendor management, and reconciliations.
- Manage contractor payouts and commission structures.
- Optimise cash flow, treasury processes, and working capital.
- Monitor financial and operational risks.
- Systems & Tools
- Serve as a key user of finance systems (Xero strongly preferred).
- Drive finance automation and optimisation of workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications
- Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA).
- 5+ years in finance roles.
- Experience in SaaS/technology/high-growth environments (subscription billing, revenue recognition).
- Strong technical accounting foundation and IFRS knowledge.
- FP&A experience in budgeting, forecasting, and modelling.
Skills
- Proficient in Xero and supporting finance tools.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities.
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks (VAT, ESR, compliance).
- Ability to manage payment cycles, reconciliations, and financial workflows.
