Growth Needle is a fast-growing website and CRO agency helping ambitious ecommerce brands unlock more revenue from their website and customer journey. We work closely with brands in the UK and US to improve conversion, sharpen strategy, and build better-performing digital experiences. Our work sits across CRO strategy, website design, development, testing, and performance improvement.
We move quickly, hold high standards, and care deeply about quality. This is the kind of role where strong people get real ownership, real exposure, and real room to grow. If you want to do meaningful work, think strategically, and become a key part of a growing agency, this is a serious opportunity.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a high-calibre Conversion Rate Optimization Specialist to lead performance thinking across client accounts and play a central role in how Growth Needle delivers results. You’ll work across CRO strategy, website analysis, experimentation, client communication, and delivery, helping turn insight into action and action into measurable performance gains. You’ll sit close to clients, strategy, design, and development — shaping priorities, driving clarity, and ensuring great ideas become high-quality execution.
This is not a passive support role. You’ll be expected to think critically, lead confidently, challenge where needed, and make a visible impact on both client growth and agency standards.
Benefits of the Role
- Large ownership over your role and accounts
- Direct exposure to client strategy, decision-making, and growth
- Clear progression toward senior responsibility as the agency scales
- Consistent paid training and development
- Paid annual leave
- Remote working with clear structure
- Genuine autonomy, trust, and low bureaucracy
- A warm team environment, real friendships, and regular team socials
Why This Role Is Different
At many agencies, CRO roles become repetitive, overly narrow, or buried under process. That is not how we work. At Growth Needle, you will have:
- Large ownership over your role and accounts
- Direct exposure to strategy, decision-making, and client growth
- A fast-moving environment with very little bureaucracy
- A genuine voice in what we do, how we improve, and how we scale
- The chance to grow into senior responsibility as the agency grows
You will not be micromanaged. You will not be stuck just pushing tickets around. You will be expected to think, lead, communicate clearly, and make things better.
What You’ll Own
1) CRO Strategy and Analysis
You will play a central role in identifying what is holding performance back and what should happen next. We are looking for strong skills and experience in:
- Understanding what quality landing page design, website design, and eCommerce UX looks like.
- Conducting CRO analysis across GA4, Shopify data, user behaviour, and the website experience.
- Creating strategy for homepages, PDPs, collection pages, landing pages, and sales funnels for eCommerce clients.
- Auditing Shopify websites to identify friction, weak messaging, missed opportunities, and conversion blockers.
- Reviewing designs and builds to ensure pages are accurate, polished, and aligned with CRO goals/strategy.
- Creating clear briefs for landing pages, CRO improvements, A/B tests, and website updates.
- Turning insights into clear priorities, strategy, and strategic roadmaps.
- Planning landing page improvements tied to CVR, AOV, LTV, revenue, and funnel performance.
You must also be confident in:
- Presenting CRO strategy, insights, and analysis clearly
- Breaking down technical explanations so they are easy for non-technical people to understand
- Communicating conversion blockers and solutions with clarity
- Translating improvements into actionable deliverables for designers and developers
- Explaining what matters, why it matters, and what should happen next
2) Client Leadership
We are also looking for someone who can confidently represent Growth Needle in front of clients. This includes:
- Being the primary point of contact for key accounts
- Leading client-facing communication and calls with confidence, structure, and warmth
- Building trust quickly through strong communication, reliability, and clear thinking
- Managing expectations well
- Pushing back when needed with authority and professionalism
- Keeping clients aligned, informed, and confident at all times
3) Project and Delivery Ownership
You will also help ensure strong ideas turn into strong execution. This includes:
- Coordinating designers and developers across active accounts
- Running delivery in ClickUp: scoping, prioritisation, timelines, and accountability
- Writing excellent briefs for designers and developers
- QA’ing output to ensure work is accurate, polished, and aligned with CRO goals
- Keeping projects moving quickly while controlling scope
- Protecting a high standard of work across every account
Progression and Development
This is a role with real upward movement. As Growth Needle grows, the right person can grow into broader ownership across strategy, client leadership, team development, and operational standards. If you perform strongly, there is a genuine path toward becoming one of the senior people in the business over time. Depending on performance, progression can include:
- Owning larger and more strategic accounts
- Taking greater leadership over delivery and internal standards
- Mentoring and guiding other team members
- Helping shape service development and agency systems
- Growing into a senior CRO, strategy, or leadership position within the business
We want someone who sees this as more than just a job. We want someone who wants to grow with us. We also care about helping the right person improve quickly. That includes:
- Consistent paid training and development
- Ongoing support in areas that strengthen your role
- Exposure to strategy, client leadership, and commercial thinking
- Hands-on growth through real responsibility, not just theory
This is a role where strong people can compound quickly.
Why Join Growth Needle
This role is for someone ambitious. Someone who wants more than a narrow job description, more than internal politics, and more than being another layer in a bloated agency structure. At Growth Needle, strong people get trusted early. You’ll have ownership over meaningful work, direct exposure to strategy and clients, and the chance to grow quickly as the agency scales.
At Growth Needle, you will have the opportunity to:
- Own meaningful work and have visible impact
- Shape client strategy, not just execute tasks
- Work directly with ambitious ecommerce brands in the UK and US
- Operate in a low-bureaucracy environment where good ideas move quickly
- Be trusted to think for yourself and make decisions
- Grow your skill set across CRO, client leadership, strategy, and delivery
- Develop quickly through paid training, support, and real exposure
- Work within a warm, sharp, high-standard team
- Take a genuine path toward senior leadership as the agency scales
You will also receive:
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Paid annual leave
- Consistent paid training and development
- A remote working setup with clear structure
- A role with genuine autonomy and trust
- A genuinely warm team environment, real friendships, and regular team socials
For the right person, this is a chance to join at a high-upside stage, take on real responsibility, and become a core part of a growing agency with serious momentum.
The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here
We care about character as much as capability. The right person is:
- Confident and professional with clients
- Clear and concise in written and spoken English
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Calm under pressure
- Accountable and dependable
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Direct, honest, and protective of quality
- Eager to improve and open to high standards
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- 2+ years of experience as a CRO Specialist at an agency or as a freelancer
