Role Overview
We’re hiring a high-calibre Account Manager to own client relationships and lead delivery across CRO and web projects for ambitious eCommerce brands. This role is the operational centre of Growth Needle. You’ll sit between clients, strategy, designers, and developers, turning goals into clear priorities, keeping delivery moving fast, and ensuring every project lands to a high standard. This is not a passive coordination role. You’ll drive outcomes, set direction, create clarity, remove blockers, and keep delivery moving at pace.
What You’ll Own
- Client Leadership
- Be the primary point of contact for key accounts
- Lead calls with confidence, structure, and clear outcomes
- Translate business goals into CRO strategy, roadmaps, and execution plans
- Proactively manage expectations, risks, and priorities
- Build long-term trust through reliability, honesty, and strong communication
- Delivery & Project Execution
- Run delivery in ClickUp: scoping, prioritisation, timelines, and accountability
- Write excellent briefs that designers and developers can execute without confusion
- QA design/dev output to ensure it’s accurate, polished, and aligned with the CRO goals
- Keep work organised, time-bound, and commercially aligned (no drifting scope)
- CRO Strategy, Audits & Roadmapping
- Conduct mini and full CRO audits (qual + quant) and turn insights into clear priorities
- Build CRO roadmaps: what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and what success looks like
- Plan experiments and site improvements that tie directly to CVR, AOV, LTV, and funnel performance
- Spot and communicate upsell opportunities that are genuinely aligned with client growth
- Pod Leadership (Design + Dev)
- Lead pods of designers and developers
- Set expectations, push for standards, and drive accountability
- Keep everyone aligned, motivated, and moving quickly
- Improve systems and SOPs as we scale
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who is charismatic, sharp, and intensely organised. Someone who can run client relationships with presence and run delivery with discipline. You should enjoy responsibility. You don’t wait to be told. You take ownership and finish what you start.
Requirements
- 3+ years in account management or project management (agency or similar)
- 2+ years in CRO / eCommerce / digital performance (you understand how conversion works)
- Experience leading delivery with designers and developers
- Strong grasp of eCommerce metrics: CVR, AOV, LTV, funnel performance, experimentation logic
- Comfortable owning client calls and handling difficult conversations when needed
- Strong briefing and QA ability (you catch problems before clients do)
- Strong systems thinking; confident in structured workflows and SOPs
- Comfortable operating in ClickUp (or comparable tools)
Soft Skills (Non-Negotiable)
We care about character as much as experience. The right person is:
- Charismatic and confident on calls: Builds trust quickly with clients
- Exceptional communicator: Clear, concise, and professional in both written and spoken English. Keeps clients aligned, informed, and confident at all times. Explains complex ideas simply and confidently
- Highly organised: Structured thinking, strong planning, and zero dropped balls
- Calm under pressure: Handles ambiguity, urgency, and client tension professionally
- High ownership: takes responsibility, follows through, closes loops
- Naturally leadership-minded: sets standards and pushes work forward
- Direct and honest: can say “no”, frame trade-offs, and protect quality
