This senior, high-autonomy role reports directly to the CEO of a rapidly scaling, nationally-focused Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) subscription business. It has been through exceptional growth and with your help, it is looking to 3x turnover within the next couple of years.

Core role

The Director of Growth will take full accountability for growth performance across the business. The core focus is to:

  • Break through existing acquisition scale ceilings.
  • Improve overall growth economics and efficiency, even as investment increases.
  • Significantly accelerate the execution tempo across all growth channels, creative output, and experimentation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This is a hands-on leadership position with end-to-end ownership of the growth strategy and execution. Responsibilities include:

  • Budget and Financial Accountability: Owning and managing a significant multi-million-pound marketing budget, ensuring investment decisions consistently drive sustainable growth, strong unit economics, and long-term customer value.
  • Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and developing the existing high-performing growth team, which spans performance marketing, influencer management, CRM, and creative growth strategy.
  • Acquisition & Channel Strategy: Driving scale in paid acquisition while rigorously protecting the quality and long-term value of customer cohorts. This includes identifying and expanding into new strategic channels (e.g., partnerships, emerging platforms).
  • Data and Optimization: Using cohort, customer, and performance data to inform prioritization, trade-offs, and set the direction for rapid creative testing and iteration speed.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Partnering closely with Product, Tech, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success teams to optimize the entire end-to-end customer journey and ensure lifecycle activity supports repeat purchasing and sustainable growth.
  • Reporting: Providing clear, direct updates on performance, risks, and opportunities to the CEO and senior leadership team.
