One of our clients in the DTC wellness sector is looking for a Head of Finance to join their fast-growing team. You’ll act as a strategic partner across the business while owning financial operations, shaping growth strategies and supporting upcoming fundraising efforts.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee financial operations including bookkeeping (in partnership with an external accountant), month-end close, reporting and audits.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning and cost control initiatives.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance function.
Commercial Strategy & Business Support
- Create financial models and forecasts to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on scenario planning, trading performance, and commercial strategy.
Data & Insights
- Provide ad hoc data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Build financial models and reporting to support upcoming fundraising rounds (e.g., explore and execute non-dilutive funding opportunities such as asset financing or grants).
- Prepare materials for investors, including board reporting and performance updates.
Strong background in finance, ideally within a fast-scaling consumer brand (e-commerce or retail preferred). Experience supporting commercial strategy and fundraising rounds is a plus. You understand the drivers of business growth and can translate insights into action through robust financial modelling. Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis to support strategic decisions. Competitive salary + equity.
