The predicted salary is between 12000 - 18000 Β£ per year.
We are seeking a keen cook to coordinate the heating-up, preparation, serving and clean down of a simple soup, stew or salad lunch for our people over three working days per week (up to 16 hours / min 12 hours) at our West Cumbria site in Egremont. This is approx. 15-25 meals each day, depending on attendance. You will also be required to carry out general cleaning in the building.
The role of the Cook / Lunchtime Assistant is to:
- Lead the delivery of a hot, healthy, seasonal meal for all attendees to site each day and the creation and the production of freezer meals for future use, using surplus product from our field.
- Manage a monthly budget for the kitchen and liaise with key suppliers, including the trading of donations with local food banks and other charities.
- Ensure that at all times our kitchen is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a culture of respect, inclusion and security.

Qualifications and Training Requirements
Essential: Food allergy certificate, Level 2 HACCP
Desirable: Professional chef diploma, Level 3 Food Safety Supervision, Evidence of Continuing Professional Development, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Mental Health First Aid
