An established and reputable independent financial planning firm is seeking a new Paraplanner to join its professional advisory team.

The role would suit someone who has experience in a financial planning firm previously or who holds some financial planning exams and is now looking to develop their experience in a more challenging role.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant financial planning reports and providing technical support to advisers.

You will work closely with Financial Planners to ensure recommendations are well-researched, clearly documented, and delivered efficiently, supporting the firm's ongoing growth.

  • Prepare suitability reports, cashflow models, and technical research to support Financial Planners.
  • Conduct detailed research on pensions, investments, and protection solutions.
  • Ensure all documentation meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Liaise closely with advisers to ensure accurate and timely client recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and workflows.
  • Assist with more complex cases as experience develops, acting as a technical support to advisers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare suitability reports, cashflow models, and technical research to support Financial Planners.
  • Conduct detailed research on pensions, investments, and protection solutions.
  • Ensure all documentation meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Liaise closely with advisers to ensure accurate and timely client recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and workflows.
  • Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar IFA, wealth management or financial services business.
  • Progress towards some financial services qualifications - Ideally the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Experience working with pensions, investments, and protection products.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
