About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician / Technologist to join a well-established and growing architectural consultancy based in the South West. This role is ideally suited to someone at an intermediate level with solid technical experience who is confident taking responsibility for their work and keen to progress towards a more senior position. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be comfortable managing their own workload, while looking for a more autonomous position. You will have opportunities to be involved in client meetings, producing quotes, chairing meetings, and contributing to the successful delivery of a wide range of projects. With the support and guidance of experienced senior colleagues, the role offers genuine scope for progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Residential projects ranging from small extensions and bespoke homes to large-volume housing schemes
- High-quality, design-led projects similar in ambition to Grand Designs -style homes
- Technical drawing packages, concept creation, design development, and project support across multiple stages
- Exposure to both technical delivery and commercial considerations, helping you build well-rounded professional experience
Key Requirements
Essential
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- A good understanding of Building Regulations, CDM, and relevant British Standards
- Previous experience working on residential projects (experience in other sectors is also welcomed)
Desirable
- A basic understanding of wider business processes, including project time management, fee scope, and identifying work outside the original brief
- An understanding of social media, with an interest in supporting and strengthening online presence
- Proactive, accountable, and open to learning
- Proud of producing accurate, high-quality work
- Comfortable adapting when priorities change or project challenges arise
- Holds a driving licence and is happy to attend networking events, training seminars, and industry activities
