Help solve one of the UK’s biggest environmental challenges – water scarcity. Our client is a rapidly growing environmental solutions company helping developers, local authorities, housing associations and infrastructure providers overcome water neutrality and sustainability challenges that impact planning and development. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding innovative water and energy efficiency solutions that enable sustainable growth across the UK. The Role

  • You will drive business growth by building relationships with:

  • Your focus will be identifying new opportunities, securing contracts and developing solutions that support water management, nutrient neutrality and sustainable development goals.
  • Key Responsibilities

    • Business Development
    • Identify and develop new opportunities across the water and sustainability sectors
    • Build strong relationships with local authorities, developers and industry stakeholders
    • Manage regional networks and client accounts
  • Proposals & Bids
    • Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, tenders and funding applications
    • Work closely with internal teams to support project planning and delivery
  • Market Engagement
    • Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities
    • Generate leads and build a strong pipeline of opportunities
    • Monitor and report on pipeline progress and revenue performance

    About You

    We’re looking for someone who combines commercial drive with an interest in environmental solutions. You’ll likely have:

    • 3+ years’ experience in business development or sales
    • Experience working with local authorities, planning teams, environmental organisations or developers
    • Knowledge of water management, sustainability or nutrient neutrality
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Experience developing proposals, bids or tenders
    • Full driving licence and willingness to travel

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of planning regulations or S106 agreements
    • Experience producing tender or bid documentation
    • Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability or decarbonisation
