Grove House School, part of the SEAX Trust, is a Special School for pupils aged 8‑19 with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The School opened in September 2015 and continues to grow towards full capacity. We are seeking a well‑qualified, enthusiastic, efficient and organized finance manager to join our highly skilled business team. The role will be supported by the finance team at the SEAX Trust, with ongoing training and support.
Responsibilities:
- Management and operation of all financial systems (PS Financials).
- Payroll.
- Month and year‑end procedures.
- Work in conjunction with the SEAX Trust Director of Finance and attend SEAX Trust business meetings.
- Reporting to Local Academy Committee members.
- Management of the catering accounts.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Willing to learn from and work collaboratively with the Trust finance team.
- Has CSBM, DSBM or an equivalent business/finance qualification (or working towards this).
- Aware of, and able to manage, the different pressures on a finance manager in a school environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in presenting financial information to school leaders and the Trust.
- Keenness to work in a Multi‑Academy Trust.
