The role involves being an integral part of the global tax team, working on direct tax matters, reporting to the International Tax Manager in London. You will support day-to-day delivery across transfer pricing and UK corporation tax, with exposure to broader international direct tax matters and cross-functional projects.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, improving processes, partnering with Finance and external advisers, and taking ownership of clear, reviewable deliverables that support the business.
You’ll spend time on the following:
- Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Support
- Support the outsourced transfer pricing compliance cycle (Master file, Local files, etc.), including coordinating data requests and managing deliverables.
- Maintain and improve documentation and operational support for the transfer pricing model, ensuring consistency between policy, legal agreements, and financial results.
- Assist with the transfer pricing aspects of new and existing intercompany transactions, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
- UK Corporation Tax
- Support the outsourced UK corporation tax compliance process by coordinating inputs, preparing analyses and managing milestones with external advisers and internal teams.
- Assist with preparing schedules to support the UK tax computation, including identifying risks and unusual items.
- International Tax Controversy & Advisory
- Support international tax authority queries and information requests by coordinating data gathering and drafting response materials.
- Assist with international direct tax advisory workstreams, including assessing legislative changes (e.g., BEPS 2.0).
- Contribute to tax analysis for group reorganisations, restructurings, and business initiatives by assembling facts and preparing summary materials.
- Process & Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships across Tax, Finance, Legal, and the wider business to ensure tax considerations are incorporated early.
- Maintain clear audit trails, trackers, and documentation to support efficient processes and strong internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including standardised workpapers, automation opportunities and data quality enhancements.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience with multinational groups in-house or in practice, with exposure to transfer pricing and/or UK corporation tax.
- Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with financial data, reconciliations and large datasets, with strong Excel skills.
- Experience coordinating advisers and stakeholders across multiple workstreams, with clear communication and follow-through.
- An ability to take ownership of assigned tasks with limited supervision, escalating issues early and proposing solutions.
- A practical understanding of UK corporate income tax and/or transfer pricing concepts and documentation requirements, with a willingness to develop deeper technical expertise.
- ACA, ACCA, CTA (qualified or part qualified), or qualified by experience.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting OECD aligned TP documentation (Master file and Local files), and cross-border compliance coordination.
- Exposure to international tax projects such as BEPS related initiatives, Pillar Two readiness, or withholding tax processes.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is beneficial.
