Location: Aldgate East, London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Focus: 100% New Business Acquisition via Cold Outreach
Our Challenge: Become a Growth Catalyst
At Groupon, we don’t wait for the phone to ring. We are the engine room of local commerce, and we’re looking for a Sales Development Representative who lives for the thrill of the hunt. This isn’t a customer service role – this is a high-octane, outbound sales position where your success is measured by your ability to open doors that were previously closed.
Your Mission: The Pure Outreach Specialist
You are a sector-agnostic hunter. On any given day, you will be cold-calling and pitching to a variety of industries:
- Food & Drink: River cruises, Michelin-starred spots, trendy brunches, or urban street food
- Beauty & Wellness: Luxury spas, traditional hammams, hair salons, or cryotherapy centers
- Leisure & Events: Theme parks, zoos, hot air ballooning, escape rooms, or VR experiences
- Services: Driving schools, car detailing, MOT centres, and more
- Travel: Hotels, Luxury Cruise experience, Mystery Holiday, Family Travel etc
A Day in Your Life at Groupon
- High-Volume Prospecting: You will own the top of the funnel. Your day is defined by identifying high-potential merchants and hitting the phones to build a pipeline from scratch.
- Cold-Call Mastery: You’ll use your “gift of the gab” to bypass gatekeepers, handle objections on the fly, and turn a “not interested” into a signed contract.
- Closing the Deal: You aren’t just setting appointments; you are a closer. You will manage the entire sales cycle—from the initial cold call to structuring the deal and securing the digital signature.
- CRM Precision: You’ll navigate Salesforce and Salesloft like a pro, meticulously tracking your outreach and ensuring your pipeline is always moving forward.
- Resilience & Results: You thrive in a high-activity environment. You understand that “no” is just a step on the way to a “yes”.
Why Join Us
- Uncapped Earning Potential: A competitive base salary supplemented by an uncapped commission structure. If you overachieve, you get paid for it.
- The “Start-Up” Spirit: Experience the speed and autonomy of a startup with the global backing and resources of a household name.
- Career Mentorship: Direct coaching from sales leaders who started exactly where you are. We’ll teach you the “Groupon way” to negotiate and close.
- The Perks: Hybrid working (3 days in our Aldgate East hub), private medical, pension, “Grouponiversary” rewards, and an inclusive, high-energy social culture.
The Path to Joining
- Talent Screen (20 mins): A brief intro with Anne from our recruitment team.
- Sales Deep Dive (45 mins): An interview with Sarah Veitch, our Senior Sales Manager to showcase your cold-calling instincts and resilience.
- Final Culture Fit (30 mins): A video chat with a team member you’ll be winning with every day.
