Overview of role
The primary responsibilities of the Management Accountant will be supporting the business client operations and provision of key financial information to the business. They will be integral to Essencemediacom's revenue forecasting process and manage revenue streams outside of core media income. The role also involves monitoring profitability and people utilisation, at the client and departmental level. To be successful, the management accountant must engage and collaborate with other teams within the wider departments and with various parts of the company, often at different levels of seniority.

In three months, you would have:
- Become a key point of contact for Business Directors around the agency.
- An understanding of our billings and income forecasting tools and systems.
- An understanding of other revenue streams outside of core media revenue.
- Achieved a high level of collaboration and strong relationship development within the department.
In six months, you would have:
- Autonomously managed the end-to-end process of forecasting several clients.
- Developed processes to improve efficiency across management information.
- A good understanding of the clients you manage and the remuneration structure for revenue reporting.
Responsibilities of the role
- Provide financial information in a professional format to business stakeholders, aiding with management decisions and general engagement.
- Manage the revenue forecasting process for several clients, providing commentary and variance analysis on a regular basis.
- Manage the end-to-end process of revenue outside of our core media revenue (forecasting, billing & reporting).
- Continuously review current processes and make improvements to allow better control or improved efficiencies.
- Help oversee the assistant accountant within the team, working in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
- Manage our timesheet reporting process, assessing the utilisation of people across the business to enable senior stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Perform thorough profitability analysis at both client and departmental levels.
- Aid with goal setting and gap analysis for the business.
- Understand the remuneration models of the clients you work with, ensuring these are being implemented correctly by performing regular reconciliations.
- Assist the senior finance team with ad-hoc requests.

- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Strong communication & relationship-building skills in both the GroupM Finance team and in the EssenceMediacom business.
- Intermediate / Advanced level of Excel.
- Enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude.
