Title: Director, Client Leadership

Location: Rose Court, London

Reporting to: Head of Agency

Role Overview

The Director, Client Leadership has ownership for a selection of key Nexus Media Solutions (NMS) clients. They are responsible for delivering outstanding client leadership to retain and grow NMS existing clientele, including all areas of cross-channel activation. In addition, they will be required to identify, unlock, and grow new client opportunities.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client Leadership and agency partnership

  • Own assigned clients within NMS (3-5 clients), establishing yourself as a trusted strategic advisor and the go-to person for client relationships.
  • Build a detailed understanding of their clients, their needs, the business/marketing challenges they face, and align these to opportunities within NMS.
  • Partner with key agency stakeholders for your client base including Client partners (or equivalent) to deliver agreed client growth plans through embedding themselves within agency team structures.
  • Responsible for delivering strategic insights, innovation, and growth across the client base.
  • Own the design and delivery of strategic client engagement initiatives for their accounts.
  • Deliver QBRs, innovation workshops, and roadmap sessions for their client base.
  • Take a proactive approach to client engagement, ensuring you engage not only on day-to-day account-related themes but also on wider and longer-term industry topics, offering thoughts, sharing updates, and providing advice as appropriate.
  • Strive for the highest level of client satisfaction in everything they do.

Growth and success of new and existing clients

  • Partner with the agency to deliver a client growth plan for your clients to drive growth.
  • Own NMS pipeline for your nominated clients including detailed forecasting on expected revenue and net sales attainment, as well as expected revenue generation from new client wins.
  • Spot opportunities for growth through analysis of client investment and aligning NMS solutions to such opportunities.
  • Showcase new NMS products or capabilities to their client base to aid growth.
  • Identify and drive key growth initiatives including, but not limited to, “Behind the Scenes” initiatives.
  • Build, empower, and evolve team capabilities to develop strategic and forensic client-specific growth plans to grow their existing accounts.

Effective ways of working

  • Ownership of an agreed vertical to provide thought leadership, insights, and direction to your own clients as well as evangelising your learnings across other key NMS stakeholders.
  • Support NMS, GroupM, and agency pitch efforts across allocated vertical and clients.
  • Be the voice of your clients internally, feeding into the developments and roadmap of Solutions Development and Marketing Science.
  • Follow established working practices that aid a collaborative dynamic with Activation, Client Services, Marketing Science, and Solutions Development, as well as the wider team to provide best-in-class campaign proposals, reporting, servicing, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of all GM capabilities, solutions, and services (e.g. Choreograph, Acceleration, and GOAT).
  • Regularly spot opportunities for case studies and award entries from the client base and work with Marketing to design and build these.

  • An active listener that can quickly become a trusted partner with clients and agencies at all levels of seniority.
  • A problem solver that can resolve conflict and client pain points through diplomacy and tact.
  • Strong and effective communicator across all levels; can translate technical and complex points to non-technical audiences.
