We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage delivering non‐nuclear civil works within a complex, regulated infrastructure environment. The role focuses on the delivery of civil infrastructure including roads, buildings, utilities, and site services, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution to programme, budget, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate General Contractor activities across civil infrastructure works.
- Oversee delivery of roadworks, administrative buildings, utilities, and service infrastructure.
- Manage programme, cost, risk, and performance reporting for assigned scope.
- Monitor progress against milestones and proactively resolve delivery issues.
- Administer contracts including change control, claims, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, commercial terms, and regulatory requirements.
- Interface with internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular progress updates, dashboards, and reports to senior project leadership.
- Ensure compliance with site governance, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.
- Support audits, assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership and General Contractor management capability.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills.
- Solid understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple interfaces within a regulated environment.
- Proactive problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP) desirable.
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH) advantageous.
