THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Contract Manager leads commercial and government contract activity across the full lifecycle, from proposal strategy and negotiation through execution and sustainment. The role acts as a trusted advisor to the business on compliance, risk, customer relationships, and commercial strategy, supporting both civil and defence programs across multiple business areas. Strong experience with complex development and government contracts is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage contracts from proposal through post-award execution.
- Lead negotiations and act as the primary contractual interface with customers.
- Advise on contract terms, risk, compliance, scope, and change management.
- Partner with finance, legal, engineering, sales, and program teams.
- Assess solicitations for commercial and regulatory risk.
- Review and manage regulatory and commercial terms and conditions.
- Support claims, disputes, and special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 3–5 years’ experience in commercial and government contracting.
- Working knowledge of FAR and relevant defence supplements.
- Experience briefing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
