OVERVIEW
We are seeking an SC-cleared Linux Engineer with strong scripting and automation capability to secure and maintain air-gapped systems. The role involves developing bespoke Linux scripts, applying system hardening, managing firewall policies, and implementing monitoring solutions. You will work with Ansible for automation and contribute to C++ components where required, with regular travel to a client site near Portsmouth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and assess bespoke Linux scripts following best practice.
- Validate and apply scripts generated by third-party tools.
- Implement Linux system hardening and security controls.
- Build and maintain Ansible playbooks.
- Configure firewall rules and security policies for air-gapped environments.
- Implement event logging and monitoring.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong Linux engineering and scripting experience.
- Security hardening and firewall policy implementation.
- Experience with C++.
- Active SC clearance.
- Willingness to travel to a client site near Portsmouth.
