The Operations Production Technician is responsible for monitoring and operating equipment, ensuring safe and efficient production processes on offshore assets and maintaining operational integrity and reliability of plant and associated equipment while adhering to company policies and procedures. This position is offshore (3/4 rota) on a permanent basis.
Key Deliverables:
- Monitor and operate plant processes and associated equipment to ensure efficient production and safety standards are maintained.
- Gather and report process data to facilitate accurate record-keeping and operational analysis.
- Prepare work permits for maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational readiness.
- Identify and troubleshoot production malfunctions or failures to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct isolations and de-isolations of equipment to facilitate safe maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Support risk assessments and mitigate hazards to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively during shift handovers and team briefings to ensure seamless operation and information transfer.
- Implement and follow safe working practices and operational procedures to maintain high levels of personnel and plant safety.
- Maintain technical competence and skill set to meet current standards and operational requirements.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Essential: (S)VQ Processing Operations; Hydrocarbons at Level 3 or other relevant apprenticeship, or HCN/D with appropriate experience.
- Essential: Experience in a similar role.
- Essential: Offshore Certification: BOSIET, MIST, OGUK Medical.
- Desirable: Experience in offshore environments or similar high-risk industries.
- Desirable: Familiarity with platform-specific operational procedures and safety standards.
- Desirable: TSBT 01 Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies (Twin Ferrule).
- Desirable: TSBT02 - Disassemble and reinstall SBT assemblies.
- Desirable: TSBT 03 Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies (Cone & Threaded).
- Desirable: TMJI10: Dismantling and assembling flange joints - Execute tasks within specified tolerances.
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Essential: Comprehensive knowledge of plant processes and associated equipment within the specific industry.
- Essential: Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and safe working practices.
- Essential: Familiarity with preparation and reinstatement requirements concerning work areas, materials, and equipment.
- Desirable: Experience with condition monitoring and diagnostics for production equipment.
