Lead complex remediation projects that make a real environmental impact. At Biogenie, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex remediation, contaminated land, brownfield regeneration and enabling works projects across the UK. This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for managing technically complex projects, maintaining strong client relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.
We are looking for an individual with extensive experience gained within the UK remediation sector who can take ownership of multiple projects from tender handover through to completion, whilst providing leadership and support to project delivery teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the successful delivery of remediation, contaminated land, brownfield regeneration and enabling works projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Take overall responsibility for project performance, including programme, budget, commercial management, risk and client satisfaction.
- Manage complex remediation and enabling works projects valued up to £10m.
- Manage 2–3 projects simultaneously across different locations.
- Lead and support Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulators and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across project teams.
- Fulfil responsibilities under CDM 2015 and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks to protect programme, commercial performance and client outcomes.
- Produce and present project reports, forecasts and updates to senior management and clients.
What we’re looking for:
- We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who has built their career within the remediation, contaminated land, brownfield regeneration or enabling works sector.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering remediation projects within complex, operational project delivery environments.
- Experience gained within a Tier 1 contracting environment, delivering complex remediation, contaminated land, brownfield regeneration or enabling works projects.
- A proven track record of managing complex projects valued up to £10m.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience, including NEC and JCT contracts.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A sound understanding of CDM 2015 and construction health and safety requirements.
- Experience acting as Principal Contractor on complex construction or remediation projects.
- An HNC/Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management or a similar discipline, or significant role‑specific experience within a relevant operational or project management environment.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership with a recognised professional body, would be advantageous.
- SMSTS, CSCS and/or WAMITAB qualifications are desirable.
