Are you ready to take ownership of projects that make a real environmental impact? At Biogenie, we’re looking for a practical, experienced Project Manager to join our SAR Operations team, delivering remediation and enabling works projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how projects are delivered on site, can confidently manage programme, cost and risk, and is comfortable taking full ownership from start to finish. We’re looking for a solid, capable Project Manager who can be trusted to run projects with minimal day-to-day oversight.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take full ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Manage programme, cost and delivery to ensure projects are delivered safely and profitably.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support.
  • Build and manage client relationships, including handling challenging or sensitive situations professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including CDM 2015 responsibilities.
  • Work under NEC and/or JCT contracts, managing commercial and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain clear project documentation, reporting and financial control.
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on track.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience delivering remediation or enabling works projects.
  • A good understanding of how projects run on site, including programme and cost control.
  • Confidence managing people on site and dealing with clients.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with strong organisation skills.
  • Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Understanding of health & safety and CDM responsibilities.
  • A qualification in Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Site or project management certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS or WAMITAB are ideal but not essential.
  • Project management or professional accreditation (eg working towards or holding chartership or a recognised project management qualification) would be beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
