Seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to support engineering and delivery activities for a large-scale upstream oil & gas development project. The role involves overseeing contractor engineering activities, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee I&C engineering and contractor deliverables during EPC execution.
- Review and approve instrumentation designs, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, international codes, and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil, and safety disciplines.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, SIF, FAT, model reviews, and technical workshops.
- Support management of technical queries, design changes, vendor documentation, and interface coordination.
- Identify technical risks and support mitigation plans.
- Ensure engineering activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in I&C engineering within oil & gas projects.
- Experience supporting EPC projects and working with contractors/vendors.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISA, ISO).
- Familiarity with SPI/Intools or similar instrumentation engineering tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in large-scale upstream or processing facilities projects.
- Experience in multicultural project environments.
- Professional Engineering certification is beneficial.
