The role:

Responsible for the forecasting activities associated with customers and products, creating, and maintaining forecast models for our business, incorporating business intelligence, and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts and other sources. To ensure accurate as possible demand planning forecasts that deliver the financial targets in an effective and efficient manner

What you’ll do:

Responsible for the Demand forecasting, ordering and inventory management of a defined product category in line with KPIs including fill rate/service level, forecast accuracy and stock coverage

  • Update forward forecasts on a rolling 18-month horizon for all Retail and POP reference using group’s statistical models, creating scenarios, and arbitrating the best fit taking into account local marketing plan and supply issues.
  • Key in manual forecasts into DMP, managing statistical forecasts at matrix and item level.
  • Carry out historical data cleansing taking into account affecting factors including sell through, supply issues, press activity, retailer activity, cannibalization and promotional activity. Considering exceptional events.
  • Reconcile forecast proposals against budget highlighting inconsistences in preparation for monthly S&OP Demand review and POP review
  • Collaborate with key Customers and business channels such as marketing, commercial and finance to establish future forecast.
  • Key EOL & Launch forecasts manually into the demand module.
  • Maintain the product master data file including accurate life cycles and lifestyles, new product evolution, end of life, ABC forecast stability and sales class plus all relevant bespoke local activity such as but not limited to kit BOM, promo codes & promotional items.
  • Review inventory against batch code rules and forecast, raise orders to maintain inventory levels within stocking policy and inventory budget, make adjustments to inventory plan where necessary and propose actions to mitigate stock depreciation
  • Liaising with Global planning team, Distribution and Supply team on product, stock, and supplier issues.
  • Run monthly reports including KPI performance, stock valuation and budget tracking and share with business stakeholders in line with agreed timelines
  • Prepare the supporting documentation necessary for the Head of Demand Planning to propose implementation of corrective actions in case of deviation results during monthly S&OP meetings
  • Supporting the S&OP process with relevant data, reporting and analysis
  • Drive process improvements through collaboration with key stakeholders

You are :

  • Highly literate and numerate, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Self-motivator with a good knowledge of the operation
  • Able to meet budget targets in line with business cost objectives
  • Up to date with latest industry trends and legislation

You have:

  • 3 years + proven experience in demand planning role- from building a forecast for basic & new products, understand and apply levels of safety stock, understand and mitigating any risks with end-to-end supply chain understanding.
  • Knowledge of SAP/APO/M3/JDE, Manugistics or Oracle Demand Planning or other software packages including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and with suppliers.
